Jieun Kiaer is YBM KF Professor of Korean Language and Linguistics at the University of Oxford. She publishes widely on Korean language, linguistics and translation. Her recent publications on Korean translation includes The Routledge Course in Korean Translation (Routledge 2017), Korean Literature Through the Korean Wave (with Anna Yates-Lu, Routledge 2019), On Translating Modern Korean Poetry (with Anna Yates-Lu and Mattho Mandersloot, Routledge 2021) and Pragmatics of Korean and Japanese Translation (with Ben Cagan, Routledge 2022). She is Series Editor for Routledge Studies in East Asian Translation.
