This Deep Dive into Digital Korean Studies offers a comprehensive exploration of the use of digital resources in the Korean humanities. It includes lectures, discussions, and practical lab sessions, allowing participants to understand the origins and development of digital Korean studies as well as various methods used in research, such as the creation, visualization, interpretation, and preservation of digital representations of social and cultural artifacts. Key topics covered are digital materiality, text mining, spatial and network visualization, and machine learning. Participants should bring their laptops for the sessions. The course materials are in English and Korean, and no prior knowledge of programming or computer science is required.
